We drive from Chula Vista for their food. We live across the street from Lolita's, but Lucita beats them easily for quality, flavor, salsa, and hospitality. Their burritos are made with care and each bite has uniformity and flavor. The lady/owner takes your order then makes the food. Check out the comparison pic to Lolita's and you'll see what I mean. I also love their carne asada fries. I've been here 5 times now and they consistently deliver!

Was in the area and passed by Lucita's TACO Shop. Saw a few Mexicans inside waiting for their food, so figured it must be decent. (Hey, my last name ends with a vowel so I can say that.) Read the Yelp reviews and a few people said this is the best Taco shop in California - obviously those folks are active participants in Proposition 64; and then on the other side of the spectrum people saying the opposite. (3.5 stars is my rating, rounded up, BTW.) I got the Carne burrito - and it's a decent amount of Carne aside from a warmer in a tortilla with guacamole and Pico. Basic, alright, nothing special, nothing bad. It filled my belly and made my taste buds somewhat happy at a reasonable price, with friendly service. Will I be back? Maybe but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so.
1st time here today, just moved to this area! I got the Carne asada fries, and let me tell youuuuuu! The meat is sooo good, juicy and made fresh! My food was hot and delicious the lady that took our order was super sweet and friendly, definitely gonna be coming here more often!! My bf got a breakfast burrito ham, egg, cheese, and ff, he loved it as well! The salsa does need some more kick, but we can live with that! :D one my new favorite taco shops here in Nestor Area!!!!
